Raise Money to be used as NIL funds

We serve as an NIL (name, image, likeness) collective in a similar way that all power 5 schools work with one, but with a very different mission. We need the support of people like you to help our mission become a reality. Click below to find out more about the NCAA NIL.

Find Dedicated Students
in Montgomery

Our mission is to find students who have found success in both the classroom and in their respective sport, but lack the financial backing to attend college. Most athletes in college are not receiving a full-ride scholarship, and for a lot of families the leftover cost is not a possibility. That is who we want to help.

Provide College Education and Mentorship

None of these dedicated students should be denied the opportunity to play their sport and receive an education solely due to the high cost of college. We will use the NIL to sponsor a student through college, mentor them both spiritually and personally, and guide them as they grow into who God created them to be.

OUR MOTIVATION

In my 11 years as a college football coach and recruiter, I have met many young men who have earned the opportunity to be a student athlete at the college level. Unfortunately, even after scholarship money, government aid, and student loans, their families cannot afford to pay the remaining balance. Of the college athletes who receive some type of scholarship money, only 1% earn what is considered a full-ride ($25,000 or more in scholarship funds). For the rest of the recruited and deserving high school athletes there are still payments that need to be made for tuition, room and board, and fees (books, parking passes, living expenses, etc.). According to The Alabama Department of Education, 67% of families who attend Montgomery Public Schools are living in poverty. These families cannot afford the balances left after scholarships and government aid are applied so the young men are not able to attend college, get the higher education that they have earned, or play the sport that they are passionate about. I have seen firsthand the life changing difference a college athletic experience can make in a young man. It gives them the opportunity to find their calling and the preparation to be successful in this world. It also surrounds them with coaches, professors, and other positive role models in place to educate and help them mature. We do not feel that a student athlete who has grown up in difficult circumstances and earned this opportunity should have it denied to them for financial reasons.

Shedeur Sanders
Shedeur signed a deal with Brand BRADY, Gatorade, and Beats By Dre to go along with an already free education. Some players are becoming rich directly out of high school because of their genetic ability... other equally dedicated student athletes are left without the opportunity to attend college due to their family's financial situation.

15 student athletes could be provided a fully paid for 4 year education for the income Bryce Young received through the NIL deals that were brought about from the Alabama NIL collective... this money was agreed on before Bryce took a single snap at Alabama.

OUR SOLUTION

On July 1st, 2021 the NCAA approved student athletes to monetize their name, image, and likeness. This has made it possible for college student athletes to receive money from outside sources. With this development came the arrival of what is called NIL Collectives. These are non-profit or for-profit organizations that operate alongside a program’s athletics department. At this point, all 65 Power 5 football programs have an NIL Collective working with them, and the founder of the collective is typically an alumnus of that institution. Most NIL deals go to student athletes that are already receiving a full-ride scholarship and have their college paid for. Some of these deals have been made for over $100,000 to a single student athlete, and more high dollar deals are being made daily. We believe that NIL money should be raised not to monetize the athlete already receiving a paid-for education, but the student who otherwise would not be able to attend any 4-year college or university. These students deserve the benefits of a college education even though their speed, size, or level of play did not meet the level of receiving a full ride scholarship. Teleios Foundation will operate as an NIL Collective formed as a non-profit organization. We will pool the money from donors to sign NIL deals with student athletes in Montgomery who need financial assistance. NIL money should not be used to pull top rated recruits to certain programs, but instead to provide education to deserving students regardless of their family’s financial situation.

SELECTION PROCESS

Teleios Foundation is looking for Montgomery Public School student athletes who have excelled on the field and in the classroom but are not able to find a full-ride scholarship for either. Families with a high financial need are often unable to send their children to 4 year colleges no matter how great the opportunity. These students who have persevered, excelled, and worked hard through high school but need financial help to continue their growth are exactly who we are looking for. If you know of somebody deserving who attends a Montgomery Public School, please click the contact button below and let us know!
